I have been wanting to try this place and I finally did! I am glad I did! I ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese(26) and the cocktail Identity Crisis (18) it was flavorful and as authentic as you will get great Italian food in the US. The prices are fair and to be expected with portion and quality. The atmosphere is warm, charming and intimately enjoyable. Sofia was my bartender and her style and skill of making a bomb-a** cocktail topped off the entire dining experience. I STRONGLY recommend this place. Don’t t think about it ... just come in and experience it for yourself!
Got the diavola pizza, ricotta spinach pasta, and the donut bites. Everything was amazing and I would definitely return. The service was great too and everything came out quickly. Went on a Tuesday night before the going to the speakeasy next door
Fun and welcoming spot on UES. I love the kale salad and pizza...garganella is my daughter’s favorite dish. Our last visit our server Alex was the best! We know we can count on a great meal and relaxing evening here. Nice wine and cocktail list too.
I went to UVA Next Door for a Saturday night reservation; I’d advise you book early as all of the spots were nearly gone by 09:30. It was a later reservation so I was surprised at how busy and loud it still was. It didn’t take away from the experience at all, but it was a bit of a shock walking in. The octopus was absolutely lovely and cooked to perfection; the meatballs were also very good. The pizzas are great, the gnocchi was very good. We also tried the veal agnolotti- their mushroom and spring onion sauce in that dish was divine. I chose an Amelia Rose cocktail, which was good, but it didn’t taste like I imagined it would or as the menu suggested. Our waitress was fantastic; in fact, all of the staff worked as a great team on this very busy evening. I’ll definitely be back and look forward to trying Uva.
Delicious italian food. Came here for Martini Monday's! Martini's are 4 (or 8 for doubles) with the purchase of an entree. The beet ravioli was superb. The cauliflower steak was the right amount of seasoned, served with crisped mushrooms and topped with toasted seeds. Shishito peppers and burrata salad were perfect additions to our meal in the midst of heat wave. I left feeling full but not overstuffed. My only regret: not taking a photo to share here. You'll have to try it yourself!
Amazing time at UVA for their Martini Monday. We got a dirty gin and cherry martini to start (the gin was StrONG for a single) Pizza and fusilli pasta were 11/10. Only complaint is the pizza was slightly burnt. You can see in the photo. Flourless cake was 9/10!
Absolutely loved this restaurant! Through the bar is a quiet little covered patio that is reminiscent of a place in Tuscany. Food was exceptional and staff was kind and very attentive! Will come back any time we visit NY!
The Veal was delicious. The Bartender was amazing. and the red wine was perfect. Hells Kitchen is a very special place. I would never have known about Hells Kitchen if it wasn't for Russelll Dobular of the Due Dissidence Podcast.
